It was such a pleasure to have Molly and Jo here! My old neighbor, Tuula Plathan from knl Karamain came at same day to visit us, so we were four sighthound oriented ladies discussing about dogs for couple of hours.
Finally we had some sunshine in Finland to offer and also some Swedish cake and coffee from IKEA-cups... Molly liked many Swedish born Whippets in our Specialty - so of course we had some Sweden also at table!
Hupi sang to Molly but didn´t like much to stack himself when we tried to make some pictures. However Hula floated him straight to Molly´s heart. What a graceful gentleman he was - but I am not sure was it Molly or the cake which made him show all his best parts and qualities during their visit?
It showed that dog people all over the world are the same; we share same thoughts of breed, almost same hopes as well and just want to talk about dogs, dogs, dogs... Whippet people act almost same beside rings in Finland as they act beside Australian rings. We love to show our dogs, share our thoughts but also criticize same things. Funny!
One thing which I don´t want to loose in my dog oriented life is that there must be talking - of course - but also humor, laughing, having fun - and connections after connections. I don´t just want to know new dogs - I want to know people behind them too!
We need to think wide, we have to be open to all nuances and expand our view of our lovely breed!
