Jamon Malja - Jamo Cup

With Ch Zootsuits Lonely Hearts showrings was always such an easy task to jump in! Jamo´s showcareer was with magnificent help of his breeder, Ari Auvinen, smooth and full of nice wins & success. Jamo was shown in finnish showrings from 1998 to 2005 total amount of 72 times. He was placed in BM-competition 43 times and he won his class 26 times.

Jamo had one litter in Netherlands, at knl Strippoker, and his legacy goes on with his puppies and in their puppies. I am always grateful to Tony Groenendijk who took Jamo to his home and kept him as a precious family member almost 5 mths.

I have purchased few awards to Finnish Basenjiclub to be given to most talented rookie in lurecoursing fields, to Finnish Greyhoundclub to be given to best junior in their Specialty and to Finnish Whippetclub to be given to years best fawn. At early days -when Jamo and I started showing- there were not so many fawns in Finland at Whippet rings. Today there are many.

Jamo´s Cup started to go round at 2002. At the same year and also at year 2003 it was won by FI & SE Ch & FI W-03 Softouch Sweet Medicine (Ch Pipsqueak Comanchero x Ch Kipin Kapin Autumn Sonata). 2004 Jamo´s Cup was delivered to FI & SE Ch & FI JW-02 & FI W-04 Carmodey Tattoo (Ch Nevedith Veefa Vesper at Marchpast x SE Ch Carmodey Potpurri). From 2005 until 2008 it was won by FI Ch & FI JW-05 Pojanrinteen Pandora (Ch Quatrain´s Jupiter x Quatrain´s Nefertiti).

This year, 2009, I decided to cut this trophy´s cycle and give it away in our Whippet Club´s Specialty to the Best Fawn male in show. I couldn´t be more pleased when it was won by Ch Best-Looking Brooklyn (Ch Twyborn Philadelphia x Best-Looking Blooming Martha). I am very much in love to this handsome male, but I want also very much appreciate ALL Jamo Cup -winners during years 2002-2009. Fawns were few years ago not seen as much they are now in rings, and the quality in this beautiful colour is today very high.

This story is written to give respect to my dear and far too young passed away Jamo and also to all fawn coloured Whippets which has won this trophy.
