Hupi stacked! Ja hieman kuvankäsittelyjorinaa...

Can´t get enough showing my Hupi stacked with other handlers! ;D

This time Tuija Elomaa, knl Pipsqueak, helped me to take new pictures ab. my handsome Hupi, Fin Ch & FinJW-05 Twyborn Philadelphia! My humble thanx to you, Tuija!

I took total of 527 pictures from Helsinki 19.7. SPEC! 167 of them are loaded in their own file at 1g; Some showpics by Kenzongos; Kartano Weekend.

Mistä tulikin mieleeni. Olisi se perinjuurin hyvä asia, jos olisi tietotekniikan kanssa enemmän taitava. Helpommalla varmaan pääsisi.

En pääse tällä kertaa keulimaan taidoillani; kirjoittamaan tänne topikkia Tietotekniikkaa yli 40-vuotiaille ja "opastamaan" Näin se käy...

Latasin kuvat Canonin omalla ohjelmalla ja nehän tulivat ruudulle tässä tapauksessa postimerkkiäkin pienempinä. Jokaisen kuvan saa avata erikseen ja tutkailla ja tuumailla olisiko siitä julkaistavaksi asti.

Jahka heittelen kuvia deletellä mäkeen tallentelen kelpoja samalla. Osaa rajaan, kaikkiin väännän uuden, vihdoinkin näppärän näköisen allekirjoitukseni.
Kaiholla kuuntelen pro-henkisten puhuvan "ohjelmista, joilla allekirjoituksen saa kaikkiin kuviin kerralla, yhdellä napin painalluksella, samaan kohtaan". Voi veikkonen, minä hiirellä vien kuvan alalaitaan neliön, kirjoitan allekirjoituksen "editorilla" ja asemoin, tsuumaan ja kohdistan, vedän hiirellä reunaan ja alas. 167 kertaa.

Eikä tässä vielä kaikki. Pikaisia puheluita ja tekstiviestejä vaadittiin muutama ynnä tarkkaa luettelon tiirailua, että kaikille kuville saatiin oikeat nimet. Helpottaahan se katselua, kun tietää, kuka on kuvassa.

Kun kuville oli saatu allekirjoitukset ja nimet, avasin ne yksitellen Irfanissa. Avaa sovelluksessa-komennolla ja pienensin ne valmiiksi tekemääni web2 -kansioon. Sieltä sitten syöttelin niitä -yksi kerrallaan- illan ehdittyä keskiyöksi ja kellon tikittäessä jo kohti 01:tä ja 02:ta 1geeheni...

Melko tarkalleen ottaen kuvarumba vei yhdeksisen tuntia. :O

Suunnitelmissa oli, että olisin vielä siivonnut kansion, samasta tilanteesta/koirasta kun oli useampia kuvia, mutta päädyin sitten vain ihailemaan aikaansaannostani.

Uusi 1g on hieman takkuinen -ainakin vielä minulle- kuvasiirroissa ja poistoissa. Ohjelma jättää kummituskehyksiä tai siirretyn kuvan paikalleen myös sinne, mistä sitä siirrän. Poisto-toiminto jättää kuvan ikäänkuin paikalleen ja klikatessa sitä silmät harittaen uudelleen (harvoin enää ko. kansioon palatessani muistan, mitä siirsin. Siirsinkö Twyborn Philadelphia 0708c:n vaiko Twyborn Philadelphia 0708k:n...) ja nyt ohjelma herjaakin "osoitetta ei löydy".
Ei toimi oikein minun temperamentillani ja kärsivällisyydelläni.

1geen pojat ovat varmasti myös lopen uupuneita palautepostiini, sen verran harvakseltaan jaksavat sieltä enää vastailla ja alun pitkähköt selvitykset ja asiaani paneutumiset ovat vaihtuneet "En saa kyseistä virhettä mode äksällä esiin. Oletko kokeillut Xyq-syffleä?" -tyylisiin replyihin. Tai "Kuinka pieni näyttö Teillä oikein on? Onko Teillä edes tietokone auki?"

Tyydynkin vain hymyilemään sitä tosiaa, kuinka taas jokin hieno tietokoneohjelmisto olisi kädenkäänteessä, yhdellä napinpainalluksella ja yhdellä hiiren liikkeellä vienyt nuo 167 kuvaa 1geehen ja olisin voinut samalla keskittyä vaikka mesettämään. Tai puhumaan puhelimessa. Jos nyt kukaan olisi enää 02.30 hereillä ollut! ;D

Samalla kun haikailen niitä, joille tietokonekieli on kuin toinen äidinkieli. Ja valmistaudun lyömään kuonoon häntä, joka seuraavan kerran sanoo minulle; "Lataa netistä Prowebwifle ja buuttaa sillä ja paina exit ja alt samanaikaisesti pohjaan. Sillä menee kaikki kuvat kerralla ja oikeankokoisinakin. Typewedillä ja chartkolmosella saat altilla ja backspacella allekirjoituksetkin. Se on tosi helppo ohjelma."

Canon S5 IS on toki iloinen asia. Ja pullea 1g.

HupiQuina -puppies born at knl HailHare!

16.7.2008 in Italy was born beautiful 4+1 litter for Ch Sobresalto Queen of Hearts. Sire of this liter is my Hupi, Ch Twyborn Philadelphia.

The girl is dark brindle as one malepup, too. Rest of males are light/bluebrindle.

Can´t wait Annalisa Moschini´s names; what she discovers this time! ;D

Sunny had sunny show at Taurage!

Sunny, Be Pretty Celestine Dominija (Ch Twyborn Philadelphia x Ch Boxing Helena´s Coral Gem) was shown at Taurage NAT (Lithuania) 12.7.2008 with super results!

First she took breed with CC and finished her Lithuanian championtitle and later on ended up also BIG-3!
Judge in show was I Vaitkeviciene, Lithuania.



Sunny is now LT & LV J Ch & LT & M Ch!

New Fin Ch in our pack!

My sweet Hula, Carry On Ramblin´Man was shown today in Karjaa NAT. Judge was Pirkko Konttinen from Finland.
Hula ended up BM-2 and finished his title gaining his last CC!
This summer has been unforgettable so far; first Hupi became a champion 14.6. in Forssa INT, 3 weeks after he was BOB in Mikkeli NAT and one week after, today, Hula became a champion! Can you dream more?! Well...

Hupi´s daughter from Belltown Blackballet; Miyessa Adelinda took BOB-puppy today in Oulu and Kenia (Gaselle´s Greatest Hits) from Gaselle´s La Scala took CC being also BB-2 in Karjaa, Peppi, Jagodas Groseille from Aaniston An Outstanding Filly took res-CC yesterday in Oulu being also BB-3...

I am so proud of my boys and their progeny!!!!

Hyvinkään maastot 12.7.2008

Juku kilpaili eilen neljättä kertaa maastokisoissa. Kisa oli ns. ikäkausikisa, eli Derby. (juoksuluokkia oli kolme; derby, avoin ja veteraani).
Rata oli melko pitkä, n. 600 metriä ja oli vedetty kahdelle pellolle. Tai no, sitä "kakkosaluetta" nyt ei voine pelloksi kutsua, viheralueeksi ehkä kuitenkin.

Tuomareiden pisteet jakaantuivat Jukulle 81-71-69; mikä kertonee siitä, että vähän surffailuksihan se loppu taas meni. Syy herpaantumiseen maalialueella ei ole tiedossa, mutta selvinnee ehkä joskus, starttien määrän lisääntyessä?

Yhteispisteet siis 221, asiaa finaaliin ei ollut; finaaliraja 227.
Hämmästystähän tuo kaveri herättää, kun auton takapaksi on auki ja Juku siellä vain tyynen rauhallisesti maata retkottaa (kisakenttä aivan vieressä) -välillä nousee toki hieman ylös ja tiirailee ympäristöään.

Testailin Canonin megasuperhypertsuumia ja nappasin pari kuvaa vuoroa odotellessa. Kyllä heilui kamera, voi herregyydendö sentään. Nuo pari kuvaa onkin otettu siten, että kamera nojasi auton kattoon. Tsuumi oli ihan tapissa tuossa kuvassa, missä "pyrin selvittämään" istuuko tuomari tosiaan noin kaukana; no ei istunut, vaan kuvaaja se siinä auringonvarjon alla oli professionaaleine kameroineen. Kuka hän on, sitä en tiedä.

Toisessa kuvassa tsuumi ei liene ihan tapissa ja saa siitä ainakin selvää, mitä tapahtuu ja keiden toimesta? ;D

Mukava kisapäivä ja suorituksiakin näki ihan mukavasti. Tiukkoja käännöksiä oli jälleen ja mukkelis makkelis mentiin useampaan otteeseen. Juku pysyi hyvin pystyssä, kisakumppani kompuroi hieman, mutta säilyi onneksi vammoitta.

Hupinpoika Luca juoksi avoimessa sarjassa hienosti kuudenneksi, ONNITTELUT!

Jukun kylkihaava!

Kamerasta on moneksi. Sillä voi tallettaa ja dokumentoida niin hyviä ja hauskoja muistoja kuin niitä vähän ikävämpiäkin.
Havukosken koirapuistossa sattui taannoin ikävä äksidentti Jukulle; en ollut paikalla näkemässä kuka osui tai miten se tuli. Eikä sillä niin väliä olekaan. Vaikka Jukun kylkiteippi kyllä herätti lenkillä kiinnostusta kosolti ja vastaantulijoilla pyöri silmät hämmästyksestä päässä kun selitin; "Näitä kun on kuusi niin juostessa ei tarvitse kuin hammas osua sopivassa/oikeassa kulmassa ja reikähän siitä tulee". "Mitä, niin iso reikä, etkä mennyt eläinlääkäriin" he mm. kommentoivat.

Haavaan olisi varmasti voinut pari tikkiä laittaa, mutta kotikonstein pärjättiin tälläkin kertaa ja Canon S5 IS sai nyt dokumentoida "paranemiskertomusta".

Haavanhoidossa käytettiin "jotain vanhaa ja jotain uutta"; perinteiseen tapaan Septidiniä, Bacibact-pulveria, Mesoft kuitukangastaitoksia ja Fixomull stretch -teippiä. Uutta oli Cothivet-spray, millä spreijailin haavaa muutaman päivän ajan ja käytin sitä myös kangastaitoksissa.

Kuten aiemminkin, alkuun tuntui, että "ei tapahdu mitään" (1-n. 10 vrk) ja sitten siitä eteenpäin reikä parani vauhdilla. Se oli verestävä vielä n. 12-14 vrk:een asti ja eilen kisapaikalla (15. vrk) haava oli täysin parantunut.

Ohessa kuvamateriaalia -ja täytyy myöntää, että ihan siitä alkutaipaleelta en haavasta kuvaa "ilennyt" ottaa..

Supersunday is now SuperMegaSaturday!

I´ve posted before some Supersunday-news for Hupikids. Well. Today it was Saturday and the results from Mikkeli NAT where so magnificent that it is hard for me to find words to describe it...
Judge was Markku Kipinä from Finland and I must say that he really liked Hupi´s melting lines. He said while Hupi was at table; "This is what I´ve been looking for"; "soft & beautiful lines without any stops in over- or underline".
Well, ofcourse you must know that this was music to my ears.
BUT it is not JUST that. Hupi is sound and balanced; which judge wrote in Hupi´s critique; as he is beautifully lined and arched. Well, it is NOT just that either. Something MORE happened...


Well known juniorhandler Mariikka Ala-Maakala showed Hupi so nicely and well in groupring; HUGE praise & thank you!

Hupi´s kids did so extremely well in todays ring. I am so proud as you can be:


Into, Jagodas Gros Bonnet (Twyborn Philadelphia x Aaniston An Outstanding Filly) was BM-2 and gained his first CC!!


Siiri, Best-Looking Blooming Safir (Twyborn Philadelphia x Best-Looking Blooming Martha) was BB-2 and gained her first CC, too! Can you wish more?

Some showresults 28-29.6.2008

Järvenpää is a small little city near us, just 24 km far from. There was 2 NAT shows during this weekend.
I had two of my boys with on Saturday to Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen (Hula & Hupi) and also two of them on Sunday to Garry Dryburgh, (Tezer-Whippets), Australia, (Luxi & Hupi).

They say "every GOOD dog has also G:s in his/hers results" and that is very much true. In early days when I was competing with my Basenjis, my Kino (Ch Kenzongos Kinongo) was in one weekend BIS-1 and next gained just VG. This weekend it was Hula´s turn to take G, blue ribbon.
Every judge has his own taste and when someone is looking "just type" someone emphasizes details. When someone is after "daisy cutting action" in movement, someone else is after soundess, expression and/or elegance.

One thing which is above all to me in showing dogs is the THING; "you never know" and that keeps my interest alerted! Today there is no according to the rules in Whippets in the showring; like we had few years ago. Ch Bohem Flight Time or Ch Terra Bella I´m Redee, true Whippets which were trotting from one win to another.

Such a many types, such a many Whippets in rings today. Like in my pack, six of them, they all are very different in type. Somehow I also think that the versatile is the richness in our breed. If someone asks my opinion, I would say that I want to keep it like this.

Ofcourse there is a breed standard; but there are also many different tastes in breeding -and also in judging. Me; I want -and try- to be as open as possible to all different types and find their best parts. I am very much after soundness and balance; which I find the most important things in our breed!
I also want to find Whippet standing in his every feet soundly and balanced. What comes after that; smooth movement with some details perhaps; beautiful head and carriage; that is just extra, cream over cake.
In this posting I will enclose a pic from Leyendas Happy Days which I took today in Järvenpää ring. She is very nice looking AND standing nicely in her every feet.

Something which has delighted my day lately is one new Swedish import from Merci Isle; Merci Isle Second Dawn. What a stunning young male, I wait a lot from this youngster! Could you ask more from a 9 mths old male? His picture can be found here.


Trying to translate Hula´s and Hupi´s criticues here judged on Saturday by Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen:
Hula, Carry On Ramblin´Man:
"Short bodied male. Strict shoulder and upperarm. Good depth & volume of brisket. A bit heavy in condition. Short loin. His backstep is lacking strength. Good length of head, but muzzle could be more filled. A bit light in boneing and has a bit weak pasterns. Is acting a bit unwilling today."

"Big and strong male. His overall look is a bit heavy because he is too fat. His boneing is a bit strong, too. His scull is quite wide. Beautiful, long lines. Good angulations in front & rear. Beautifully arched back. His overall impact is too strongly built."

We have a new familymember!

Welcome to our pack Canon S5 IS! I´ve waited so long to have a GOOD camera, and now my dream became true!
It will take some time to know all the details in picturing with it, but I´ll learn, at least I hope so!


Here is one pic when I´ve just opened the camerabox and showing it to Hupi. Hupi is smelling the new camera carefully and thinking perhaps; "No, again! It means more and more pictures.. Usually from me!" ;D

And next day -actually today- we were running again in our local, huge dogpark and I took one quite nice pic ab. Hupi enjoying himself lying on clovers.
